Dear Vincentians, my brothers and sisters in Christ,
For 26 months, I have had the privilege to serve the Society as the Director of Workforce Development. It was truly a wonderful experience, learning new ways to serve our community. We operated a SNAP Employment and Training Office during that time, which allowed us to bring hope to many individuals and their families. Looking for employment can be a daunting task, riddled with rejection after rejection. Through this office, Neighbors-in-Need were offered job search assistance, career counseling, and education opportunities at our Adult Education Center. Additionally, we were able to offer HiSET (High School Equivalency Test) classes to individuals currently incarcerated in the Orleans Justice Center.
I thank you for the opportunity to have served in that capacity and for all the work that the St. Vincent de Paul Society of New Orleans continues to embrace. As president of the St. Matthew the Apostle Conference and Vice President of the East Jefferson District, I hope to continue to grow in Vincentian spirituality, friendship, and service.

“Let us love God, my sisters and brothers, let us love God. But let it be with the strength of our arms and the sweat of our brow.”
-St. Vincent de Paul
Sincerely,
Brian J. Comboy
