AMERICORPS PROGRAM BENEFITS:

Bi-weekly living allowance of $575.40 pre-tax, set and paid by AmeriCorps

VISTA Leader: Bi-weekly living allowance of $667.52 pre-tax

Only Federal taxes are taken out of the living allowance, State taxes are not.

VISTA Leaders must have successfully completed one year of National Service, to become a VISTA leader

Choice of Segal AmeriCorps Education Award of $6,345 or end-of-service cash stipend of up to $1,800 ($3,000 for VISTA Leaders)

VISTA Virtual Member Orientation (VMO), On-Site Orientation and Training (OSOT), and ongoing professional development opportunities

If you are relocating more than 50 miles for your service year:

VISTA REQUIREMENTS:

Must be U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, or Lawful Permanent Resident of the United States

Have successfully obtained a High School diploma or its equivalent prior to the start of the program

Agree to and pass a criminal background check

Ability to serve full time for the program term, generally Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
